This an update from Steve Tucker who has been overseeing our relief efforts:
Hello Pastor Gary, here is a little bio on my friend and colleague,Pastor St. Luc Noel. He is a native of Haiti, has a wife and five children who labor with him. Pastor Luc has been a real asset and a blessing to our work.
He has been on the front lines with us doing food distribution, and other relief work, since the quake. (Steve told me personally that many of the people they are assisting have migrated to this mountain area after being left homeless in Port-au-Prince, and none are being turned away).
Furthermore, he has offered to donate some of his land to build a new medical/dental clinic in the Central Plateau area. He has a very humble and willing spirit and makes everyone who visits feel welcome.
PS. I don't feel led to disburse any of the funds towards the clinics at this time due to the continuing need for water, food and shelter. In a couple of weeks we will be sending another check--the last $4,500 we sent bought much needed supplies. I'll be posting a picture of Pastor Noel soon; and hopefully some more pictures of the efforts.
